Play Nice
Practice respect and civility toward both other players and staff.  Even with emoticons, without the cues of tone and body language, it’s very easy to misinterpret text communication.  Avoid controversial subjects such as politics (yes, that includes ‘global warming’), race, religion, and sports in the out-of-character discussion areas.  If you’re looking for debate on those topics, there are plenty of other places on line to find it.  Do not make offensive or insulting remarks regardless of subject and never harass or threaten players or staff.

Keep it Clean
Remember we are a PG-13 rating.  Profanity, raunchy jokes, etc., should be kept to a minimum.  Absolutely no pornography or slash.  Fade to black at the bedroom door.

IC vs. OOC
IC and OOC are separate things and must be kept separate.  You are not your character -- you don’t share likes or  dislikes, and your character doesn’t necessarily know what you know.  For example, Wolverine and Sabretooth might hate each other with a passion, even though their players are best of friends.  Iceman's player might be aware from reading Brotherhood posts that Mystique is impersonating Rogue, but Iceman himself would have no clue.  Do not let IC and OOC spill over into each other.

Thou Shalt Not GodMod
Do not god-mod or otherwise pose for another player’s character without the express permission of either that player or staff.  God-modding includes the following:
1 – Posing the effects of your character’s actions or without allowing opportunity for anyone to react.
Bad:  Scott hit Pyro, knocking him to the ground.
Good:  Scott swung his fist at Pyro, hoping to hit him and knock him to the ground.
2 – Posing your, or your character’s, opinions as reality.
Bad:  Toad fumed as Magneto decided to use Sabretooth's stupid plan.
Good:  Toad thought Sabretooth's plan was stupid and fumed as Magneto decided to use it anyway.

{&& __' '} aka footprints of the p.r.e.t.e.n.t.i.o.u.s. w a n k e r
We've all seen it.  Don't do it.  'nuff said.

Speak English, Mick!
This is an intermediate-to-advanced level rp.  A solid grasp of English (not just the ability to use a spellchecker) is a must.  A spellchecker will not save you from their/there/they're or then/than, nor will it point out you're using a possessive apostrophe for a plural.   It doesn't have to be perfect, it does have to be good.

Thou Shalt Not Kill
No killing of player characters, including your own.  No serious permanent harm, either.  These characters are only on loan to us, so don't break them.

You Aint All That
Nobody is an unstoppable, unhittable combat god.  Nobody is completely irresistible to the opposite sex.  Nobody is an expert in everything.  Your character will have flaws and limitations -- and be expected to play within them.
